Mystery solved: Jay Carney’s resignation as White House Press Secretary on May 23, 2014.

In June 2013, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney gave an unequivocal response to a reporter’s question about whether the Obama Administration would agree to swap jihadist/terrorist Guantanamo Bay prisoners for Private Bowe Bergdahl:

“As we have long said… we would not make any decisions about transfer of any detainees without consulting with Congress and without doing so in accordance with U.S. law.”
— Jay Carney

Was this broken promise the reason why Jay Carney suddenly resigned as White House Press Secretary?  Suspiciously, Carney resigned ONE DAY before Obama’s illegal “Gitmo 5″ prisoner swap.   At least one media source has perceptively pointed out that “The Taliban’s release of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl dominated the Sunday talk shows, pushing Friday’s resignation of Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki from the headlines.”  Carney resigned on the SAME DAY as Veterans Affairs Secretary Shinseki– and the obvious deduction is that the Obama Administration jeopardized U.S. national security by making the “Gitmo 5″ prisoner swap happen in order to deflect the news media from the VA scandal, which was causing too much trouble for Obama on both sides of the political aisle.
